Thoughtful placement and gentle handling help keep your print looking its best.

Unpacking your artwork

Open packaging on a clean, dry surface. Keep sharp tools away from the artwork and lift prints by their edges with clean, dry hands. Avoid touching the printed surface.

Choosing a place to hang

Display your artwork indoors, away from direct sunlight, radiators, air-conditioning outlets and damp areas. Avoid walls exposed to splashes or frequent changes in humidity.

Cleaning a framed print

Dust the frame gently with a clean, soft cloth. Follow the glazing manufacturer’s cleaning guidance. Apply any suitable cleaner to the cloth, never directly onto the frame or glazing, and keep moisture away from the print.

Caring for an unframed print

Do not wipe, rub or wet the printed surface. Until framing, keep your print protected in its original packaging in a cool, dry place. A professional framer can advise on suitable mounts and protective glazing.

Hanging safely

Use fixings suitable for your wall and the total framed weight. Check the frame’s hanging instructions and ask a professional installer if you are unsure.
